Happy 6th Birthday Kennel Cafe!
Kennel Cafe will be celebrating its 6th birthday this August! Thank you to all of our loyal customers! You have made the past 6 years truly special and we look forward to all the years to come.

Annual Photo Contest!
In honor of our 6th year, we will be hosting our annual Personality Photo Contest this August! Submit a unique photo of your dog or cat by August 20th. We have some great prizes to give away!

Keeping Cool in the Summer!
With hot weather on its way, its time to take precautions to ensure that your pet stays cool and healthy. Dogs and cats dehydrate very quickly in hot weather, so always have water available. Kennel cafe carries collapsible water bowls with their own water bottles as well as the Chewber, a combination frisbee and water bowl perfect for the park. The Doggy Danna is a specially designed bandanna that helps keeps your dog cool for hours. Other options include keeping a wet towel in the freezer for your pet to lay on, wetting your pets' paws, or bringing a cooler of ice cubes to the park for you dog.

The primary rule of summer weather is to NEVER leave an animal in a car. Even with the windows down, dogs and cats can suffer heat exhaustion within 5 minutes of being confined in a car. If you need to leave your dog outside, even for a short time, always provide shade to prevent overheating.
If your dog or cat is panting rapidly and feels hot to the touch, he may be suffering heatstroke. Sometimes in advanced stages, panting may stop. Heatstroke is life-threatening - take the animal to the nearest veterinarian. If this isn't possible, place the animal in a shady spot. Wet the animal with water continuously to cool the body as much as possible. You can also place ice packs around the head and neck. Administer a Rescue Remedy flower essence (2 drops in mouth every 10 minutes) and take him to a veterinarian as soon as possible.

Qeva Elk Velvet Antler
Qeva Elk Velvet Antler is a natural and renewable source of glucosaminoglycan and chondroitin sulfate - two ingredients that are proven to prevent and alleviate arthritis and other joint disorders.
